A Shot at Life themes. All children below 18 have the same rights. Each of you has the right to be healthy, happy, educated and to be loved. The five contest themes are dignity and a fair chance, survival and development, education, protection from violence and participation.

A Malay boy drinks water from a bottle. Next to him are words "Survival and development. Shelter, nutritious food, clean water and health care are basic needs for every child to survive and thrive. All children have a right to grow up in a clean, safe and healthy environment."

HOW TO JOIN

If you are an aspiring photographer aged 13 – 24 years old and living in Malaysia, you can take part in this contest with these three simple steps.

Take your best photograph ever on any one of the themes above.

Write a caption that best describes your photo and your chosen theme in 30 – 50 words.

Post it on Instagram, tag @unicefmalaysia and hashtag #PictureMyRights #AShotAtLife

JUDGING CRITERIA

Entries will be judged on their originality, visual appeal, creativity, caption, emotional impact and relevance to the theme.

Winners will be notified within a month after the closing date of the contest. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
